Karine gave an excellent three-day class on how to get a job that included resume-writing tips, job-seeking tips, and advice on conducting interviews. During the class, I had a telephone interview scheduled, and she provided additional one-on-one coaching to prepare for it. I had a second telephone interview yesterday, and I believe that it went well due, in large part, to the coaching she provided me. The interview was going to be behavior-based. Prior to the interview, I had asked the interviewer if she had a general format for what she was looking for during the interview. To help me prepare, she sent me a format identical to the STAR format Karine taught us in her class. Only this time, the Action portion was focused more on my behavior during the situation. This is a testimony to the effectiveness of Karine's class and expertise and shows that she knows what employers are looking for. I happily recommend asking Karine for her services if you want a coach.

Kariné was the contractor hired to teach the three-day employment workshop for the Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) in Ft. Wainwright, AK. The fact that she was providing this service as a contractor to many transitioning veterans did not prevent her from providing the same quality service to us as if she had been hired by each individual. The effective writing skills, interviewing techniques, and resume format that she taught are invaluable as a transitioning Soldier. The skills she taught allowed me to obtain employment in a career field I had no previous experience in by relating my transferable skills to the job I was applying for. A neighbor personally knows the HR employees at the company I applied for, and while referring me, they told him, "Oh yeah, he was the one with the really professional resume that stood out." That statement is a testament to my winning one of four jobs out of over 250 applicants.
